Neil Diamond is retiring!

When I was driving, I heard the song called, "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" on the radio.

Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond were singing as a duet.

You don't bring me flowers,
You don't sing love songs,

I was fascinated by how they pronounce /s/ sound. I heard that
we place our tongue behind the front teeth to pronounce this sound
very closely but not touching it. /S/ is a voiceless sound,
yet Barbara and Neil were creating a very crispy sound.
I also learned that this song was written by Neil Diamond with other writers.

Then, a few days later I heard that Neil Diamond would retire because of
Parkinson disease.

Recently my friend's husband passed away by Parkinson disease.
A male has 50% higher risk of developing
Parkinson's than a female. I read on the web that over 60,000 people
are diagnosed annually.

Parkinson disease is a neurodegenerative disorder disease that
lead to progressive deterioration of motor skills.

Parkinson's impairs movement and also how to speak, which is fatal
for singers. I just feel sad that one of my favorite singers fell into this.
But it's life, and we all get old. I appreciate for Neil's wonderful music.
50 years? That's a long time!
